Hi guys so looking for some advice
i currently have a wall in my house that is all over the place , it is not level and its running out i want to come say 3 inch infront of it and build a stud wall , i obviously understand the concept of getting the wall level top to bottom with a level but how would i know that the new wall was running sqaure and straight left to right ?

many thanks

I'd have used a laser level, cast a vertical line on one side, then another vertical line on the other, then join them on the floor and ceiling with a straight line.

Measure the distance between the two walls that this new wall will go between, to see if it is parallel. If it's not, then one end of your new wall will have to be a bit 'out', or you split the difference.
