I've cut down a couple of newell base's and bored a hole ready for new newell posts ,but i need to know the best way to round the corners of the base .Is it best to use a file or surform ,or use a coping saw and then sand.
If it were me (and i'm not an expert), i'd make a template out of a bit of ply, use a nice sharp surform, and a few grades of sand-paper. I'd also have a practice beforehand too.... good luck.
