Indeed..Was the norm to smoke in 40s..50s...health benefits promoted...Advertised everywhere....Bit like tats now...Everyone thinks its normal to be covered in the hideous things.And the Trout pout...slug eyebrows...young lasses looking bloody deformed is the norm.
When I grew up in the 50's, both of my parents smoked and as soon as I was working and had the money, I began smoking - I enjoyed my first and always enjoyed them to the very end, though towards the end it became a habit. Like you, I hate to see the tattoos and the deliberate deformities, I think it looks awful. As nature intended you to be, is best.
