nightmare with wickes tub adhesive

Lance, The tiles fell off, whilst the adhesive remained happily on the wall showing the imprint of the pattern on the back of the tile! I used a 10mm tiling trowel when applying the adhesive, the wet cut tiles were only damp not soaked. I've learnt a valuable lesson though..............Leave the tubs alone!

Don't be put off by your experience this time, there is absolutely nothing wrong with tub addy; unfortunately you didn’t chose your product wisely & used it for large format tiles which is totally the wrong application. ;)
 
Richard, the tiles were 8inch by 4inch (the black gloss bevel edged jobs)
That’s the second time I’ve shot myself in the foot by looking at your original post which refers to “large format tiles” :rolleyes: but they are in the bathroom & not the kitchen where youve had problem. As I said previously, something else went wrong & I think I'll go watch the grand prix now instead.
