I have no hot water or heating. The boiler is a Concorde Ideal and has been used occasionally for hot water only this summer. It now does not provide either heating or hot water. The pilot light is on, the pumps of which there seem to be two, are working, at least I can hear the flow of water in the pipes. I have checked the electric supply which seems to be fine and I don't know what to check next. I have checked all taps switches and thermostat.

Any help gratefully received

Many thanks

You say there appear to be 2 pumps. Are you sure they are both pumps, or is one a motorized valve? Can you post a pic. or say what's written on these items?

Do you mean the old SMC controller (?) set up where a second pump does DHW?

use a "listening stick" to check what's making the noise. Is there heat both sides of each pump - about 2 ft away say?

Thanks for the feed back. Tracked the problem to the thermostat wiring after reading one of the other posts. It is now working properly. It is amazing how one loose wire can bring a system to its knees.

Thanks again. Great site
