as a temp measure fill the small tank with a bucket of water and bleed everything and you will have CH and HW till you can get a new ball crane , might need a few buckets but will last for many months

For today you can top it up by carrying a bucket of water up the ladder.

Thanks Andy, my wife reminded me that's what we did the last time about three years ago. As you say, right next to each other, and you balance on a loft beam and bale.
