No more hereditary peers

Everyone has an allegiance, whether it be to themselves or a political party...

Maybe I should have put it in a different way...

Individual names only on the ballot paper, not linked to a political party...

No party line voting and no party whips in the second chamber...

Who knows, it could also set an example to the rabble that get elected to the main chamber ;)

Good way to get "personalities" from TV and social media elected.

Rule by Trump, cute weather girls, farage, andrew tate.

The system was a bit mad but it seemed to work very well.

Limiting the numbers of life peers would have been preferable.

Who decides who can put themselves forward as a candidate?

How many people are going to research the candidates, to any extent worth a toss?

You give the electorate too much credit.
