Hope someone can help me. Please!!!!

I have a Baxi 133 HE combi boiler. Noticed tonight that my radiators were not on. Checked the boiler and noticed the pressure was way down and there were absolutely no lights on the boiler. It is not making a sound, not trying to fire up.

I repressurised the boiler....no difference
I bled the radiators......no difference
The remote unit HC60NG also had no lights. I pressed the push button and a red light started flashing then stopped.

I am a poor student nurse with three kids and I need some advice.

Anyone help??

Have you checked that the electrical supply to the boiler is OK.

Eg if the boiler has a lead coming out of it with a plug on the end, is the fuse OK.

If it is fed from a Fused Connection Unit, then there is a fuse in there which could of blown. Some of these FCUs have a neon light on them to tell you that there is power there.

Also it could be the fuse on the Boiler itself.

If you are not confident about checking fuses, then I would suggest to get afriend who is or a sparky.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I got British Gas to come out and check it cos all my local plumbers were quoting times of up to 2 weeks and I heard the sharp intake of breath when I mentioned Baxi boiler!!!

Anyway it turns out that the circuit board has gone and quite spectacularly cos its a lovely shade of black and burnt plastic! They are replacing it tomorrow and hopefully it will be working fine again!
