Noisy bathroom light switch

Replaced pull cord bathroom light switch yesterday and it seems a lot noisier than the old one, is there any way to quiten it down?

Probably not.

Some are noisier than others.

I thought that might be the case, thanks anyway, u would have thought that in this world of super electronics someone would have come up with a better type of switch, this must have been around in the 1950s.

Most are noisy these days.
If customer complains hard enough I use a 45A shower switch as they are much quieter.
