I have a Baxi 100/2 HE condensing boiler which has recently had several new parts fitted including PCB and heat exchanger. The boiler is intermitently making a noise that can be heard around the house and is driving me nuts. I can best describe it as being as though the neighbour is drilling a wall. It lasts for a few minutes and then quietens down. However, it continues to do this periodically every hour or two. A Baxi engineer has been and replaced the fan but this has not helped.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? The sound definitely seems to come from the boiler rather than the pump. Changing the pump speed while the noise is occurring makes no difference. Thanks for any help!
