Hi all, have a Honda Accord Aerodeck 2.2 1994. The problem is I have a continual noise coming from under bonnet while driving and also with the engine off and free wheeling. All gears and clutch change ok and there is nothing obvious. It sounds like a noisy exhaust from inside the car but obviously its not. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Jack the front up and spin the wheels, see if the noise is there.
If it is then something is probably rubbing

Could it be a wheel bearing trying to let you know it has reached the end of it's working life, and moaning loudly about how it should have invested more of it's inncome during it's youth so it would have something to fall back on during it's retirement, instead of feeling it was just going to be thrown on the scrapheap?

Does it fade with hard cornering? If so it could be the above :)

Hi all thanks for your replies, it is the wheel bearings. My next question, is it a diy job ( have done many repairs in the past ) or is it a garage job, with specialist tools. Thanks for your time.
