Hello, can someone please help. We have a problem with our neighbours having noisy sex, which is clear through our thin walls. We can even hear the neighbours conversations. Not sure why. Is there any way we can soundproof our walls? Is that Celotex board any good? Or anything else u guys can recommend?

tape them, then play it back when there quite.see how they like it.
used to live next door to a couple,i nick named her lassie. she was a howler.
didnt take long for them to be told by others what her nickname was ;) .
funny when you 1st hear it,but does get very tedious after a period of time.
and i certainly aint a prude.

New property? thin walls, old property?then you might share a chimney or vent.

Let them know about it.

Council noise enforcement teams can do something about it if you monitor it and record the times/occurrences etc.

Yes but they can get an asbo.

Or if they are made aware that their neighbours can hear it - they may well keep stum when bonking.

A recording played back to them (and perhaps the rest of the neighbourhood) can be rather embarrassing.

You need to build a stud wall that is not attached to the existing wall, fit sheets of rockwool sound slab and then two layers of blue soundstop plasterboard - this will help in most cases.

... or start shouting words of encouragement while they are performing, perhaps with a cheer and round of applause at the end? :p

If you can hear them they will almost certainly be able to hear you

What happened to all the Entrepreneurs on here ?
Record it all,set up a premium rate phone line and watch the money roll in:cool:
