No a bl**dy pay when paid contract thru an agent, client won't pay, nothing i can do :-(

Have you looked at "The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003" and does this give you rights to claim against the agent directly?

yes, weirdly the agent said i was being infantile.

Try to get some background info about the agent. Has he had any professional complaints made against him/her by other contractors. Does he have a bad reputation, despite all the hype about how 'good' they are, for dealing with others in this manner.

Basically, and even if its against your nature, you have to dig up the dirt on this agent. Surely the contract you have signed is biased unfairly towards the client/agent?

Have you had a solicitor look at the contract you signed? May be worth the couple of bob it initially costs you

Good luck and keep us informed Ed.

been to a solicitor, the agent, is a large multimillion pound turnover outfit.

I am fully confident that they haven't been paid by the client, who is a flea bitten very low turnover in revenue, very high turnover in staff, going nowhere, excuse of a company.

Well that's one problem out of the way, no point in taking somebody to court if they cannot pay, sounds like this lot can. So suppose now you need to decide what the chances are of winning and whether you can afford to lose. Solicitors will do these on no win/no pay if they think the oppo have deep pockets and there is good chance of winning.

Well that's it, can't sell it, can't get it back, officially stiffed for over £14k barstewards!!!!!
