I spotted this gem on honeymoon in Sri Lanka a couple of weeks ago. The photo was taken in the built-in wardrobe in quite a nice hotel.

In case you can't see that black thing is a micro switch.

On a similar theme, I found this on holiday in Portugal. It was in a cupboard above a cooker hood and out of sight as it was above eye level. I found it with my hands whilst feeling for the tea bags.

It's probably what's known in the trade as a "switched black" (albeit not even in quite the expected point of the circuit!).
