Hey

I have new plug sockets in my kitchen - the ones where the socket has a clip front on and unfortunately on one of the plugs there is a bit of tile right behind where the clip needs to go.

What is going to be the best way to notch out this small bit of tile without the risk of damaging the rest of the tile turning this into a huge job?

I thought of getting some tile drill bits but not sure if the drill will just slip all over the place.

Thanks
Marc

Glazed tiles can be drilled with a drill bit designed for glass and lubricated with water to prevent overheating. Also cutting files are made for tiling and one of those might be your best plan of action.

Thank you - didn’t think of a file think this maybe the safest way with the least risk of damaging the rest of the tile will give this a go!

Always file single strokes from the glazed face inwards (towards back of tile) to prevent splintering the glaze and you should achieve a decent reduction.
