I'm trying to get my head around this.

My borough only provides one set of fees... is it just that notification is quicker?

Or am I missing something?

I'm confused as to the intent of the question.

The fees are the same. It's just the full plans is broken down into two separate payment - a plan charge and an inspection charge.

So, for instance, if the plan charge is 237.50 and the inspection charge is 441.10 then the Building Notice charge will be 678.60
