My Dad nearly got conned by one of the UKs biggest stairlift companies: the salesman got my Dad signed up on a price over a £1000 too high.

It seems true of all the all of the companies selling equipment for the old and disabled, stairlifts, powered beds, mobility scooters, powered chairs - all have prices which start high, then they gradually bring the price down if you say no, you cannot afford it.

My bullsh1t detector started going off big time. I politely declined.

Guess you must be much more patient and polite than me. We sometimes get them - I am not so polite.
