Hello everyone

I have a Numatic CVD570 which is a wet and dry vacuum cleaner.

It was knocked over on my driveway accidentally whilst in use and when put upright I noticed smoke emanating from the vents that house the motors.

It is out of warranty.

I contacted the retailer from which I purchased it and they are quoting £223 to collect, fix and return it.

I believe it is one of the two motors that is smoking. I have found what I believe to be a suitable replacement on Amazon - https://amzn.eu/d/cYVH2oz

Would I be able to do the job myself being a reasonably competent DIY'er and providing this is the actual motor that I require.

Could it be something else within the vacuum?

I look forward to any help / insight you may be able to offer.

Kind regards, Gordon Hunter
