SEVERAL YEARS AGO OFTEC WERE INSISTING ON FLARED FITTINGS ON OIL LINES, BUT THEY WERE VERY DIFFICULT TO BUY. nOW THEY SEEM TO BE SAYING FLARED TYPE B, OR COMPRESSION AND OLIVE TYPE A? SO WHICH SHOULD I USE? I HAVE JUST FITTED FLARED FITTINGS, BUT DESPITE TAKING ALL DAY TO DO THE 11 OR SO JOINTS, THEY ARE NEARLY ALL WEEPING- WHEREAS THE COMPRESSION JOINTS THAT I PUT IN 10 YEARS AGO HAVE LASTED ALL THAT TIME AND VERE LEAKED. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Flared joints are the prefered method.
Compression joints are acceptable if inserts are used in the pipe.
You must have a seriously bad technique if it takes you all day to do eleven weeping joints.

Are you using any Rocol joint sealing paste? It is great stuff.

THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT!!

We use standard compression fittings with the brass pipe support inserts and Oilseal or Jet Blue
