I have a pressurized hot water system (we have constant hot water) which had been dropping pressure slowly, we couldn't find any leak so just kept re-pressurizing it every now and again - we are planning on refurbishing the bathroom so were going to get the plumber to do all (sort out pressure etc) at the one time.
Today, the burner appears to have a leak coming from it - see photos -and there is a smell of burning ( i did hear a bang, and that's why i went to investigate - but that could also have been from the dishwasher!)
I have turned the water temp in the boiler down low so it won't kick the burner on, and the heat is not programmed to come on - waiting on the boiler man coming.
Any suggestions as to what has happened?
Also, (back story - we bought the house a year ago.....lots has gone wrong since - see my other posts!) should i be worried that there seems to be rusty/corroded green drips on the
piping? The first photo shows where the water seems to have spurted onto the wall on the right.
