I have moved into a house that has Oil Fired Central Heating.
It has a 2500litre tank in the garden, which goes via a TigerLoop to the Boiler.

I want to move the tank round 90degrees, and so need to disconnect the pipe to move it, extend pipe, then re-connect.

A) Will the oil start coming out of the pipe (from tigerloop end back)
B) Either way this will create an air gap, will the Tigerloop deal with it, or is it going to be a problem ??

a) Yes
b) Yes, yes, no. (Probably)

Regarding A) Yes - Would I need to screw in a plug (as it were) ??

And B) Yes, Yes, No - How else do I get rid of the air ??

i would have thought not much would come out, if youre worried get a small container..

the tiger loop may need priming, but i suspect it will not empty completely. if it does, blip your boiler stat on/off a few times this will whizz the pump a few times and draw oil up, once youve got a bit in the tiger loop, leave the boiler on.
a tiger loop is a de-aerator.
