Oil Tank Filter Maintenance: Does the Green Bowl Simply Unscrew?

I’m trying to remove the green bowl from this oil tank filter so I can clean it. Do I simply unscrew the bowl anticlockwise, or is there something else I need to do? Also, do I have to remove or loosen the small screw on the top of the filter body?

The top screw is an air bleed.
Is there a bolt head on the bottom of the filter bowl?

Hello, yes there is a bolt under the bowl. Do I need to unscrew that?

Yes, that will give you access to the cartridge filter inside.. Best to renew that and also the rubber O ring seal.

Is that a metal or plastic bowl? Whichever it is, beware of overtightening as it is easy to distort the bowl, and replacing is fiddly as you have difficulty seeing the position in low mounted filters.
