I have an old style fuse box (wire fuse) and I want to replace this with modern circuit breakers. I understand that I'll have to call a certified electrician to replace the unit but what about replacing it with individual switch style circuit breakers for each (5A, 15A etc.)?

Is it possible to do that? I can save money by doing this?

TIA

Best if you can post the make and model of your old fusebox then the pros on here can help you out. A photo would be even better.

10p says you have got a Wylex Standard like this

But you will have to have a look and tell us.

We like pictures.

By the main switch it ought to say "max load not to exceed NN"
Tell us what NN is.
