he's getting sacked?tomorrow we think

he's getting sacked?tomorrow we think

that is more or less what I have actually said, its the fact that I used his cherry picker and tried to make it look as though he had done the call plus it was falsifying time sheets as he claimed the hours and I didntYou were put in a very difficult situation, because on one hand you were worried that your friend might get fired and he really needs his job. On the other you are aware of the risk the employer has under the Health and Safety at Work etc. knowingly allowing a drunk employee to work etc. So once you knew he couldn't cover the call, and since you were fit to do the job, you felt obligated to do the work. You then felt you were in an impossible situation, because of the trouble he would be in.

Its one of those things where I thought I was acting out of loyalty towards him whilst acting on behalf of the companyyes but it was an impossible situation.

unless he is an alcoholic and has not had a warning. It is what we think, he has been told him being drunk whilst on pay at work is gross misconduct

He has never done it beforeunless he is an alcoholic and has not had a warning.

save yourself. He should beg and plead, thats about as much as he can do.He has never done it before

we was speaking about it today, he said he knows he is going to be sacked so to blame him but I havent got that in me, I will accept my fate in telling the truth, if it gets me sacked then that is what happens. I dont need the job but I enjoy it.save yourself. He should beg and plead, thats about as much as he can do.

be honest. be clear about the impossible situation it put you in and you felt the important thing was to do the job, but that put him in a difficult position and you were stuck between a rock and a hard place.we was speaking about it today, he said he knows he is going to be sacked so to blame him but I havent got that in me, I will accept my fate in telling the truth, if it gets me sacked then that is what happens.
