I have one cold radiator, and after reading some of the posts here wanted to check if the TRV's pin didn't get stuck.

Can anyone explain to me how to remove British Gas TVRs' plastic top? Is it safe to do so?

Many thanks

Theres a textured ring underneath the valve head just unscrew it (may need grips to start it) and pull the top off...pin will then be there.

thank you for your advice

would I need to set the TRV to the highest setting or zero beforehand?

Will undo easier if you set it to 6.

I am afraid, the radiator is still cold.

TRV's pin seems to be working fine - moves up and down when pressed.

I have also tried to bleed the radiator a few times - no air (there was a bit of air a month ago when I bled it the first time), just water coming out.

Does that mean that IN or OUT piping is blocked?

Do I need to drain the system or just this radiator?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
