Hi

I want to replace a one way dimmer with a standard one way (using a 2 way switch). Existing wiring is a bit confusing - 3 red wires, 2 to one connection, 1 to the other but seems there's a terminal block for 3 neutrals (all to one connection) and only one earth to back box. Should I transpose double red wires to new switch Com and the single to L1, leaving earth and neutrals as is? Should I do any tests with multimeter first?

Cheers

Leave neutral and earths as they are.

After that it is a straight swop. Transfer the wires one at a time so you dont get them mixed up. There are three reds and they will mix themselves up if you take your eye off them.

Turn power off and check it is off before doing anything.

Before loosening any wires label them with an indelible marker pen and make a note of where they are connected to.
