open hotpoint ctd00

Hi there,

My HOTPOINT CTD00P decided to stop working this morning. Just before driving to work!
So, I took the screwdriver and started to take it apart. Got the bits at the back off, but before I can take off the sides, I have to lift the top. It is somehow fixed at the front. How do I get it off??

Tops are a bit tight if screws are out at back and there is no side screws then face the machine and hit and push forward at the same time quite hard with both open palms of the hand striking the top at the top front not the front edge with the bottom of your palms.

I guessed so. But it didn't work. So I used brute force. And guess what:
This dryer was repaired by a competent skillfull professional before and this guy used glue to fix the top!!!!
This is the reason why I didn't got it off at the beginning....
