I am sorry to say it is not what we were expecting.
The effect is not as described or shown on the video. The video and the description shows the flame effect coming up between the logs and a brick type effect in the background. Neither of these are there on the fire we have. It looks like a normal flame effect fire with glowing logs and flames being played on a screen at the back. Something thet can be bought for a faction of the price of the Opti-V fire.
If we had seen the fire working there is no way we would have bought it. We had to order it without actually seeing it working as there is no where that we can find who actually stock it. We have had the Opti-mist fire now for five years and are very impressed and happy with it and thought the Opti-V fire would be an ideal replacement to save the constant refilling of the Opti-Mist water tank.
