Options for blinds in bay window?

I need to replace the bay window in my home, and could do with some inspiration on what to do about replacing the blinds.

The current set are fine in principle- the wooden slat type that are made to measure online are perfect for us... except I don't know how I would properly install them in this case. As you can see from the photos there is coving above the frame, and in fact all around the room- obviously I don't want to get into removing it. The previous owners seem to have bodged the blinds on by screwing the holders into a combination of the uPVC frame and the surrounding plaster, which is far from ideal.

I could glue some battens to the top of the uPVC frame itself, and fix the brackets for the blinds to the battens- but perhaps there are pitfalls there that I don't yet know about.

I've looked at the clip-in frames, which would probably work, although the size of the central window in the bay makes this awkward (and my wife isn't convinced)- it's difficult to find products that will be large enough. I don't see that I could attach the blinds to the ceiling, so I'm not sure what the correct solution is.

Thoughts?

It's best to ask this question after the new window is installed. Then you'll know what you've got to work with.

If you know the manufacturer of the blinds, they will be able to advise how they should be installed, which should help with removal.
You shouldn't need to touch the coving, you should be able to screw into the uPVC frames.

Fixing to frame is fine , your current blinds are the wrong size. The brackets should not overhang the frame .

Yeah, the current blinds definitely look like a bit of a bodge.

In terms of fixing to frame, looking at another recent window installation I reckon I'll need to use a batten or something so that the blinds don't foul handles and trickle-vents. Any pitfalls in terms of types of glue etc?

Perfect fit blinds are pretty neat and don't protrude a great deal, this helps on bay windows especially along the tops

Or perfect fit shutters

The brackets should protrude sufficiently to ensure the blinds don’t foul on vents etc .
I used swift blinds direct , cheapest I found.
