Problems fitting a roman blind

Hi there, new poster, any help much appreciated.

I'm fitting a roman blind. We have PVC window frames. The windows are flat to the wall - no recess. The top of the window frame abuts directly to the coving above it. The coving is curved, and is plaster.

I think I need to fit a batten, but I'm not sure where to. The blind is fairly heavy (lined roman blind, about a 1.5m drop), so I'd need a decent fixing.

Fitting a batten to the coving sounds like the best bet, with some strong adhesive, but because the coving is curved, the batten wouldn't sit flush if it's more than about 10mm high.

Could I fix a batten with No More Nails (or similar) to the PVC frame and screw into that? Or could I fill the curve in the coving with polyfilla?
