Has anyone had the same issue with B&Q kitchen units that I have had?
You get the tops and top of front vertical edge nice and lined up but the fronts stick out at the bottom meaning they have been manufactured out of square. I contacted Norwood who manufacture them and they said to make sure the tops were lined up and adjust the doors to take up the discrepancy at the front.
Is this standard practice or a lame excuse for shoddy manufacturing?

I get the top level and clamp the front vertical edges together before securing , top of front vertical edge does not matter and is not usually constructed flush with the vertical edges and is not seen as it's hidden by draw front and under work top.

Thanks for the reply foxhole, have you ever experienced the situation as in my pictures?

FWIW this is not uncommon with flat pack furniture and the manufacturers advice is good. Overcoming any tolerance issues is what keeps joiners and kitchen fitters in a job!
