Hi,

My garage has a fused spur with 2 security lights and a double socket from a short run of 2.5mm T/E directly from separate 16A breaker.

Can this be extended to add an external socket back to back or other or do I need to redo the setup to accomodate.

There are no other spare slots in the Consumer Unit.

Many thanks for any advice.

I believe in some parts of the UK yes, but not all, in some parts the local authority building control charges mean technically you can, but it would cost more than getting a scheme member electrician to do the work. It seems likely from what you say you can simply add to what you have, however I have seen some odd installations, any new socket needs to be RCD protected, and you don't say if that is already the case or not.

Sorry yes the connection is into the RCD protected side of the Consumer Unit.
