Any advice please, I wish to install a security floodlight, one of those 500w jobies, but the area it needs to be fitted is approx 30metres from the house, I guess its not just a case of running some cable along the fence? what type of cable etc, What is really needed?
many thanks in advance!

use an eco flood instead.500w is an awful lot of power for one light.
swa is usually a safe bet for the cable run but its going to need terminating somehow as you wont get it in the fitting.how will you get from the house to the fence?

what sort of supply are you thinking of?
what sort of switching arrangement do you want to use?
how will you notify?

one more question are you going at the weekend?

its only round the corner for you 8)
