I'm putting an RCD weather protected socket on an outside wall can I drill though from the inside and run 2.5 twin and earth straight into the back box and do I have to put a switched double pole 13 amp switch on the inside
Thanks in advance Pete

The double pole switch helps if the outside socket gets wet, so you can keep your house electrics going

If the ring final is already protected by an RCD then there's little point putting another RCD on- it'll be a tad random as to which one trips first. You don't HAVE to have a double pole isolator inside to control it but it is a very good idea as per AndyPRK. Make sure you seal the cable entry point into the external socket (silicon is usual) and make sure you fit all the gaskets, washers etc.
