I have just bought a built under oven with separate hob to replace the existing oven we have. There is a 45amp double pole switch used to feed the existing oven via a connector box. When installing the 2 new appliances do I simply connect both feeds to the connector box?

depends on rating, it would't surprise me if your oven can be plugged into a normal socket
