Oven power requirements

We've bought a Bosch double oven for our new kitchen and the installation instructions make no mention of how much power it uses. Anyone have any idea how much power this oven uses? Can't see a sticker with the power requirements on the outside of the oven either.

Sometimes it's on a plate on the edge of the oven door or door jamb.

Or on the back by the power connections.

If you look in the installation manual it says "check the rating plate".

Try calling Bosch helpdesk iIf you cant find it.

It's on the side, hidden by the packaging. 4.4kW is what it's rated at. What kind of circuit should this be connected to??

It will need its own radial.

4.4KW is just under 20A, so you should be ok with a 20A breaker. I'd use nice thick supply cable for future proofing. 6mm should do it.

But 2.5mm would be fine if you are only concerned about today...

You'll need to supply a new circuit & its work in a kitchen , so that gets you into Part p territory.

Surely its always a good idea to overspec things like that when it no doubt involves digging up the floor etc?

The cost of the larger cable is insignificant when taken in context of the whole job.

Also depends where the cable is routed as to wether 2.5 would be fine.

Electrician fitted a 20A radial for it using 6mm cable this morning. Kitchen's bare and ceiling was down so fairly easy from what I saw.
