Oven Tripped' Time Delay RCD.

Good Evening,

A few hours ago, I turned the oven on and after a few minutes it tripped the main 100mA RCD (TT system), so therefore not a 'very' slight leakage fault.

After a few more minutes, turned the oven on and it was only slightly warm, wouldn't get any hotter and the fan didn't work, but when I turned it on for a split second less than an hour later, it (the fan) worked.

However, there was no further RCD tripping.

The fact that the fan is not working/working intermittently, and the oven only slightly warm suggests more than one problem, and how would this cause an earth leakage fault high enough to trip a time delayed 100mA RCD? (I know it's very commonplace with 30mA RCDs).

Regards

If the element has popped, they can often trip the RCD when they go...

Given it now turns on, but you have no heat, it might suggest the element has failed?
