help please potterton boiler he24 eco getting vary hot & making ticking noise+tap water not vary hot.

How are you judging that it gets very hot?

by touching the body and also the flame is slightley yellow,

If the flame is yellow it's not burning correctly and you need to get it looked at by a gas safe engineer

Does the flue show any signs of damage?
