Hi, can anyone help me with getting 2 padstones, 225x450x225 and 225x450x300
I can't get any padstones near this, or if I was to make my own, what
mixture would you use to do this.
Many thanks sonic

Why do they have to be so big? Padstones are generally about 150 high, not 225.
The larger of the 2 will be weigh about 150lbs.
It is best not to try to cast them yourself as the quality, and hence strength, will be unknown.

Cut some concrete lintels up, or use solid blue bricks - or some of each

The RSj I've got to put in is 203x203x71 council regs
The council shouldn't have a problem with an engineering brick pad stone.
Also, if you assume there is only nominal deflection in the flanges of the UC, (which your SE will easily be able to calculate) then a 150mm deep padstone should be deep enough.

That said, Naylor do a 440x215x215mm and a 440x215x290mm padstone (dimensions allow for mortar joints). Look them up on Google. I'm sure you'll find a local builder's merchants who stock or supply them.
