Is there a product available to seal up minor cracks (shrinkage and movement ones) in external plaster before repainting ?

Urinal, when you say external plaster, do you mean lime plaster? Or cement render?

Lime plaster will need a different paint system (like limewash perhaps) and is soft and expected to crack a bit.

It's cement render. The plaster cracking is in the usual stress places, e.g. 45 degree angles from windows and door openings.

I have seen some painters use a product that apparently seals exterior cracks but it causes flashing through the finish paint that looks terrible. However is your walls flat ?
