I have just re- galvinised a large water container with FosRoc Galvafroid. I now want to paint it with an exterior wood/metal eggshell. Do I need to treat the FosRoc with something like Etch Primer or Mordant Solution first ?

Thanks

Pic before Galvafroid.

In a word.....Yes.

In more than a word.....Mordant solution, aka T-wash, is best for newly galvanised metals. Apply an even coat all over and allow to dry - the surface should turn black(ish). (Areas that fail to turn colour are contaminated and should be lightly abraded before applying more solution.) Once dry, rinse off thoroughly and allow to dry again. You are then ready to apply your chosen paint system.
