Hi everyone,

The Plasterer skimmed a bedroom on Wednesday and Thursday. It has only been a couple of days but they have been the hottest days of the year.

As a result 3/4 if the room appears dry. Obviously I won't be painting until the rest of the room is dry.

I've read on the net that skims should take weeks or months to dry. Does this mean even if it looks dry I should wait a few weeks?

Also, I understand I need to prime the wall with watered down emulsion. Again I've read half water and half emulsion all the way to 4 parts emulsion and 1 part water.

Can anyone recommend a cheap primer emulsion that will do the job?

Cheers

Hi,

If I use the dulux prep coat. How soon can I paint the finish coat over it.

Plaster will look fully dry tomorrow. Does that mean it is ready?
