Hi all

What's the best way to strip down this old window (no lintel), and this old door on my garage.

Need to paint and get another year or two out of them.

Got loads of leftover Ducksback green from the fence panels but assuming this wouldn't be appropriate???

Not sure you need to strip them.

Certainly not worth effort of stripping them if you are happy with a normal opaque paint finish.

Just give them a good scraping with a scraper, and a good sanding with sandpaper - and 'feather' out the uneven bits where the bare wood meets the intact paint.

The ducksback fence paint is unsuitable, unless you totally stripped the old paint - and even then I wouldn't recommend it.

I would use Sadolin Superdec - available in many solid colours, quick drying, easy to use, resists flaking. You should get three coats on, on a warm day.
