Pebble as in small round stones, spar dash as in those coloured chippings, or roughcast?

The reason I ask is because lots of people call it pebble dash as a generic name for anything rough And bumpy.

Ahhh..right Spar dash..

Youll need to thin the first coat out so it absorbs into the render..both water and oil based masonry will do a job for you.

Its tempting to try and get away with two thick coats but it could lead to adhesion problems in the future...you might be lucky and get away with one thin one and one full one though..youll have to see how it looks.

Brush the wall down first with a stiff broom to remove the loose stones..there are murder twhen they fly off a roller.

Rollers..go for a pro dec lifetimer sleeve, they are long pile and have a layer of foam on the inside to make rolling easier on rough surfaces.

Expect no more than about 10-15 square metres per 5 litre can for the first coat..about 20m2 after that..it drinks the stuff.

Very hard work..ive done more than enough of them..

Id say about 25% water or oil based.
