linky

Apologies for a link to this dreadful excuse of a rag, but really whilst I do not wish people or indeed animals to be needlessly harmed, what do these folk think, they get exactly what they deserve, no sympathy whatsoever.

Deserved all he got. We've got rid of our barbaric 'hobbies', eg. bear baiting and fox hunting. About time the Dagos were made to do the same.

Particularly enjoyed the vid a few years ago of a matador who got a horn right up his back passage.

They don't like it up 'em.

Yep, laughed when he got up his 'arris!! Barbaric "sport" must be illegal under EU law surely?

You would think so, though you must remember that we are about the only EU member that follows the rules rigidly. Most other countries see the rules as highly flexible and there to be broken.

Though our biggest food retailer has just taken a big step backwards concerning animal welfare. Disgraceful.

what a shame he got hurt NOT,live by the sword an all that comes to mind.
all because he can stand in his local and brag that he ran with bulls,er no m8 you got gored and got injured.i really respect him for that

well as a near lifelong country boy I wholly welcomed the fox hunting ban, not because of spurious "its a toff's sport" rhetoric, but merely because it causes unnecessary suffering to the animal, is ineffective and barbaric as a "sport" I wholly agree foxes need to be controlled though.

Yes, fox hunting was always sold as being pest control. So knobs on horseback are paying thousands to maintain horses, hounds, vehicles, staff, etc, etc, etc to help the farmer out? Pull the other one. They just get off on seeing terrified creatures being hunted to exhaustion before the 'mercy' killing - being torn to shreds.

Yes, foxes are a pest. If they're a problem, blokes with guns can do the job.

If one sticks one's hand into a fire, then one shouldn't really whinge when one gets burned. What is even more poignant about this particular story is the complete lack of empathy in imagining the pain and anguish that the bull will go through in during it's inexorable demise during some kind of human "entertainment".

Ive always liked the bull run, Im a big fan of traditions and culture and I think this is would be a great adrenaline rush as well. The bulls win sometimes too taking the odd person out or a good goring.

I agree with the element of animal cruelty and usually Im dead against it, but the bull run has always fascinated me. I wish I did it ten years ago before I settled down. Saying that I was chased by a bull a couple of years ago when just walking past it in a field, it broke through the weak fence and chased me down the track till I jumped over a stream, maybe this counts as having been in a small scale bull run?

It's like bull fighting, I've been against this all my life, but read an article in a newspaper a few years ago which described how good the life of a fighting bull is compared to any other bovine beast... they're treated with complete respect for many years, and with total disregard and the worst of human traits in their last half hour !!

We're an odd animal us humans !
