Hi, I have this Panasonic cleaner which is really powerful and works well, with one irritating issue - It keeps automatically opening the by-pass valve on the back of the unit, like it's completey choked up with dust but there's hardly anything in the actual dust container and the filter is clean. I literally have to empty it and clean the filter every time I use it 
My friend has exactly the same machine, which can be completely stuffed with dirt, yet works fine.
It's out of warranty now so wondered if there's any one out there who knows if there is anything I can adjust inside the machine to make it work without needing to empty and clean it with every use?
