I've had a burst pipe fixed in my hall but I've saved the parquet flooring that had to be lifted for the repair.

I hope to re-lay the parquet and I'm wondering which adhesive to use, if not the original bitumen-type.

allow time for repair sand and cement or concrete to totaly dry out - it will all change colour an become much lighter.
if it got wet allow time for surroundin parquet to dry out.
prep surface back to smooth concrete.
clean off all surroundin parquet edges an loose tiles.

dry fit before wet fit
you can use a small can of bitumen adhesive.
use it on the floor an on the back of the parquet.
dont go mad with it an have it oozin up at the edges.

Thanks. It's well dried out, the surface is smooth and the loose fingers are flush with the stuck floor. I haven't been able to locate bitumen adhesive - people on other forums have been recommending Lecol 5500 this evening but you can't get that smaller than a 6kg tin.

lecol is the benchmark but its well exensive an only sold in big containers.
just buy any small container of bitumen - its sold everywhere.

at a pinch you could buy a small bag of powdered ceramic tile ahesive and uste that insteadof bitumen
