A question for you all.

Ive just purchased a new apartment which has blinking low energy pendants in every room.

I've looked everywhere for shades or uplighters to fit the pendants ( big things ) but no one sells them.

Any ideas folks as to where i may get some ( seems a shame to rip out the pendants and replace with traditional )

or have i just found a huge whole in the market that maybe i should get knocking up in my shed !

i look forward to hearing from you

cheers, dave

Possibly because part L does not mandate the use of those low-energy pendants.

Most are installed so that the builder/developer doesn't have to have an argument with a BCO numpty, and are then promptly ripped out by the first occupant, so there's not much of a market for shades to fit....

We got ordinary shades and put them on upside down.!!!!

Our friends have copied us:cool:

Habitwat do sell them, but they are at feckin' robin B'stard prices

Low energy pendants come with a shade adaptor ring that is 'supposed' to enable you to use regular shades. They dont work too well though.

Also, they tend to get lost by the second fix electrician.....
