i am in 2 minds about whether to do a loft conversion.
if getting a party wall agreement was in anyway problematic or expensive i wouldnt go ahead.
from what i have read , i would need to serve a notice on neighbour.
if they consented, all well and good.
if they declined i would probably just forget the idea.
but the template notices i have read suggest that i need to inform them who my surveyor is if they decline.
does that mean i am commited to having a survey and paying for theirs even if i decide i do not want to go ahead ?
surely, i only need to pay for surveyors if they decline and i decide to press ahead with the conversion.
