yesterday I laid a patio 1.8m x 2.4m (600mm x 600mm concrete slabs)
8cm of MOT type 1
3.5cm of sharp sand and cement
slabs were 3.5cm thick
All seems to be ok, I'm happy with the job! after laying them it's been almost 24 hours now laid on Easter Friday and today hot!
I can't perform the jointing till later next week, is this an issue or does the jointing need to be done after 24 hours?
Also I'm using Sika Setting sand, the reason is because it looks easy! and I have a nice buff colour to match the slabs, my joints are approx 10mm. Is Sika Sand like concrete and will this bond ok with my gap size? I'm a little worried as ordered a 5.5' W and 7 L Alu Greenhouse and I need a strong base.
